Head of World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Research and Treatment of Drug and Alcohol Problems, and Director, Clinical Services and Research, Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Dr. Ali is a member of the WHO Expert Advisory Panel on Drug Dependence and Alcohol Problems and is Project coordinator for two World Health Organisation projects. He is also a member of the Cochrane Alcohol and Drug Group editorial board.
